Ware Shoals – Sybil Greer Moore, 99, widow of Thomas G. Moore, of 937 Powerhouse Road, died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Hospice Care of the Piedmont.
Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Whitman and Minne Lee Daniel Greer. She was a member of the Ware Shoals United Methodist Church and had served on the Ware Shoals Welfare Committee and many Volunteer Community Services. She was a Dietician, retired after 31 years from Ware Shoals School District #51.
She was the last member of her immediate family and was pre-deceased by a daughter, Louise M. Ware and a brother Ernest Greer. She is survived by two grandchildren, Johanna Taylor and husband Gerald of Ware Shoals and Chuck Ware and wife Susanna, and a great-granddaughter, Charla Sybil Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday at the Ware Shoals United Methodist Church with Rev. Tina Thomas and Rev. Van Greer officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 P.M. Tuesday at the church prior to the service.
