Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Carlton and Lillie Mae Sosebee. He worked in the food service industry in Miami, Colorado Springs and Las Vegas. He returned to Greenville in retirement.

Surviving are: two brothers, Doug and Jerry Sosebee, two sisters, Vera Taylor and Norma Arnold, a grandson, Michael Charles Sosebee and wife Patricia, and three great-grandchildren, Andrew and Jacob Sosebee and Sara Bittick.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Grover, Willard, and Kenneth Sosebee.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Broadmouth Baptist Church in Honea Path with Rev. Justin Phillips officiating.
