Honea Path – Benjamin Franklin “B.F.” Hopkins, 91, widower of Ella Ruth Johnson Hopkins, of 23 Beasley Dr., died Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Exalted Heath and Rehab in Iva.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Alex and Maude Scott Hopkins. He was a US Army veteran of WWII and retired from Chiquola Mills. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and an avid fisherman.
Surviving are: a son-in-law, Dale McMullan of Iva, two grandchildren, Patti Kelley and husband Tim and Kim Latham and husband Glen, all of Iva, six great-grandchildren, Megan, Makalya and Torry Kelley, and Mattison, Malerie, and Emery Latham, and a great-great grandchild, Wyatt McCall, a nephew, Roy Hopkins of Anderson, and a special friend, Doug Cannon of Honea Path. He was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Hopkins McMullan and two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Crossroads Fellowship Church with Rev. Paul Copper and Rev. Mike McMillion officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
The family is at the home of granddaughter, 1121 Barns Station Rd, Iva, SC and will receive friends at the church Tuesday 2-3 p.m. prior to the service.
