Greenwood -- Helen Joyce Kaiser, 75, wife of John Howard Kaiser for 57 years,  passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013.

Born in Honea Path, South Carolina to Helen Belle Lothridge and Grover Davis, she was known as Joyce.

 

She will be remembered as a dedicated wife and homemaker, an avid gardener who enjoyed canning the produce for her family;  a kind leader and tenacious worker at Ortho Pharmaceutical, where she proudly earned promotion to team manager;  a maker of lunches for her husband at any hour of the day or night.  She was a competitive and cheerful tennis player, a talented and faithful pianist, and a caring and graceful mother and grandmother. 

 

Joyce lived true to her name bringing great happiness and inspiration to those who survive her: her husband John Kaiser, her brother, Gerald Davis, her daughters Denise Wendel, Dianne Cosgrave, Deborah Burd, her sons John and Jay Kaiser, 15 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, the most recent being Adilynn Grace Kaiser. She mourned the loss of grandchild, Amanda Cosgrave in 1987.

 

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 12th, from 7-9 p.m. at Parker White Funeral Home in Ware Shoals, SC. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 13th, 10:00 a.m. at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HospiceCare of the Piedmont.
