Fletcher, N.C. – Kimberly Denise Thompson, 54, of Fletcher, N.C. passed away Friday, January 4, 2003 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born and raised in Honea Path, S.C. and resided in Asheville for most of the past 30 years. An avid runner, dedicated real estate agent and loving friend, the genuine connections she strove to make with people will be one of her greatest legacies.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Long Thompson.
She is survived by her son, Jacob Beistel; her father, Jimmy Dee Thompson of Honea Path; two sisters, Susan Busby of Anderson, and Gloria Caldwell of Swannanoa, N. C. and several nieces and nephews. We will always remember her as a loving mother, daughter, sister, friend, and mentor.
A memorial service will be held on January 27 at Grace Community Church, 495 Cardinal Road, Mills River N.C. 28759 at 2:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the W.N.C.
