Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Reed and Julia Smith Magaha. He was a member of the Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church and a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran of the Vietnam War. He was retired from Park-Davis. He was a member of the American Legion and a lifetime member and former Dive Captain with the Honea Path Rescue Squad. He was a avid hunter and coffee drinker.

Surviving in addition to his loving wife of the home are: two sons, Rick Magaha and wife Traci and Kevin Magaha and his significant other Erica, all of Honea Path, one brother, Roger Magaha and wife Patsy of Honea Path, three sisters, Sybil Crane and husband Donald of Honea Path, Barbara Timms and husband Oscar of Due West, and Jeanette Woodruff of Rocky Mount, NC, three grandchildren, Noah, Kate, and Cheyanne Magaha, all of Honea Path.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Alton and David Magaha, and a sister, Linda Bridges.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Coody and Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Garden of Memories.
