She was born in Honea Path, SC, a daughter of the late Curtis and Frances Smith Johnson.  She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and retired from Laurens County Hospital.

Mrs. Wells was twice married, first to the late Charles Dewey Patrick. She was a loved and cherished mother.

Surviving are:  a son, Charles Ray “Chuck “Patrick and wife Nakia , Greenwood, two daughters, Deborah Ann Patrick, Waterloo,  Sindie Anne Wilkie and husband, Roy, Waterloo, one brother, Jerry Louis Johnson, Travelers Rest, eight grandchildren, Chad Riser, Allen Pace, Cole Price, Jesse Price, R.C. Clark, Kimmie Clark, Desiree Price and Toye Patrick and two great-grandchildren, Gavin Pace and Bentley Clark.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 16, 2012 at 2:30 pm at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The families will be at their respective homes and will receive friends Friday, 1-2:30 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt.
