Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Ruth Jester Vermillion.  She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church. 

Surviving are:  one son, Carl Michael Ambrose of Honea Path; one daughter, Peggy Williamson and husband Larry of Craytonville; one brother, Robert Vermillion of Donalds; one sister, Drucillia Burdette; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, a daughter and one brother, Jimmy Vermillion.

Memorial Services will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, October 3 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Powell and Rev. Brad Haynes officiating.    Memorials may be made to the Frances Ambrose Fund, Box 266, Honea Path, SC  29654.
