Joann Chapman

Ware Shoals – Joann Rochester Chapman, 84, of 11200 Indian Mound Road, wife of Franklin M. Chapman died September 29, 2012 at Hospice of the Piedmont in Greenwood. She was twice married, first to the late James B. Sizemore.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late James Donald Rochester and Jewel Bradberry Rochester. She was retired from textiles and attended Hodges Church of God.

Surviving are her husband of the home, three sons; James Douglas Sizemore of Honea Path, John Melvin Sizemore of Abbeville and Jeffrey Brewer Sizemore of Laurens, one daughter; Jewel Frances Bowie of Abbeville, one step-son; Roger Chapman and two step-daughters; Patti Madden and Donna Hendrix, one brother; Milton Rochester of Ninety Six, one sister; Joyce Beard of Pickens, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 3:30 PM Tuesday at Hodges Church of God with Rev. Charles Caldwell, Rev. Earl Quick and Rev. Mac Jones officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 PM Tuesday prior to the service at the church.
