She was born October 27, 1927 in East La Porte, North Carolina to the late Seth Thomas  and Pearl Moore Stallcup and lived in Honea Path from age 4 until 2010. Kat was a member of Chiquola United Methodist Church where she served in many areas. Her longest tenure was as treasurer of the UMW.

Kat is survived by one sister; Dorothy Herndon of Anderson, S.C. and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother; Virgil Stallcup, and three sisters; Thelma Stackhouse, Betty Thompson and Ruth Cox.

Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M.
