Born in Trion GA, he was a son of the late Arledge and Jewel Chamblee Brock. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member and Past Master of Centre Lodge #37 A.F.M., York Rite and Scottish Rite, and a member of Hejaz Shriners and Hillbillies. He was a founder and charter member of Chattooga County Saddle Club. He was retired from Reigel Textiles Corp. He loved being a community servant, with one of his biggest joys in life was playing the part of Santa Claus for the Town of Honea Path, the annual Christmas parade, and many local churches and businesses for many years.

 Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 53 years of the home are: a son, Greg Brock and wife Deborah of Pendleton, a brother, Harlan Brock of Fayetteville GA, a granddaughter, Kathrine Brock, and a host of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.

 Funeral services will be held at 1PM Wednesday August 1, 2012 at Chiquola Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Powell and Rev. Brad Haynes officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery with Masonic Rites.

 The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8PM at Pruitt Funeral Home. The family is at the home.
