Born in Anderson County, he was a son of Rev. Waymon Barron Brock and the late Hazel Callaham Brock. He was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church and a former repairman with Sears. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and his father of Anderson are: a son, Chuck Brock and wife Jessica of Greenwood, a daughter, Holly Murdock and husband Josh of Honea Path, two brothers, William Brock of Honea Path and Donnie Brock of Belton, and six grandchildren, Kamryn, Reagan, Bella, Carlee, Addison, and Charleigh.

Funeral services will be held at 4PM Friday July 27, 2012 at Honea Path First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Moody and Rev. Robert Beaver officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 2PM. Burial will follow in the Garden Memories.

The family will receive friends from 3-4 PM Friday at the church prior to the service. The family is at the home.
