Ware Shoals – Paul Daniel Jeans, 82, husband of Mary Smith Jeans, of 41/2 N. Greenwood Ave., died Tuesday July 17, 2012 at Hospice of the Piedmont.
Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Pickens and Fannie Monroe Jeans. He was a member of West Main St. Church of God and a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the Savannah River Site.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: two daughters, Carolyn Montjoy and husband Steve of Chandler, NC and Connie Montjoy of Radcliff, KY; one sister, Thelma Jeans of Toccoa, GA; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Joanne Quinn, and a sister, Ruby Hembree.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Thursday July 19, 2012 at West Main St. Church of God with Rev. John Tyson and Rev. Charles Smith officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1PM. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
