Born in Gainesville Ga., she was a daughter of the late George and Myrtie Saylors Strickland. She was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church, and a member of the Jewel Shirley Sunday School class. Mrs. Roberts loved to cook and was an avid camper.

Surviving are: three sons, Don Roberts and wife Margaret of Belton, Bennie Roberts and wife Martha of Hodges, and  John David Roberts and wife Susan of Clover; a daughter, Mrs. Linda Wilson and husband Steve of Honea Path; eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three sisters.

A Celebration of Mrs. Roberts’ Life will be held at 2PM Friday July 13, 2012 at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path, with Rev. Mike Moody officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday July 12, 2012 at the funeral home. The family is at the home of her daughter, Linda Wilson, 230 Armstrong Rd., Honea Path.
