Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Gus and Annie Elgin Hayes.  She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 5996 and was retired from Chiquola Mfg. Co. of Honea Path and Hamricks of Anderson.

Surviving are:  two sons, John Dickson and wife Margaret and Dickie R. Dickson and wife Ann of Belton; three daughters, Linda Fisher and husband Jerry of Anderson, Argie Register and husband Don of Goose Creek and Darlene Satterfield and husband Samuel of Honea Path; three sisters, Louise Brooks and Idelia Dockins both of Anderson and Vera Ashley of Hartwell; thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a daughter Hazel Lewis.

Funeral Services will be held at 2PM Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Pinson officiating.  Burial to follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of a daughter, Linda Fisher 1206 W. Whitner Street, Anderson.
