Born in Bowden Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Nena Bishop Nickles. She was a member of Ware Shoals United Methodist Church and a retired school teacher with Ware Shoals School District 51.
Surviving are two sons, Jim Stone, Jr. and wife Vicki of Simpsonville and Tom Stone of Ware Shoals; one daughter, Cathy Elledge and husband David of Irmo, one brother, Tommy Nickles and wife Beth of Atlanta GA, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday March 18, 2012 at 3 pm at Ware Shoals United Methodist Church with Rev. Tina Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church cemetery.
