Dr. Harold Miller

Anderson – Dr. William Harold Miller, 73, husband of Anna Chadwick Miller, of 100 Aspen Way, died at his home, Thursday, December 22, 2011.

 Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Colie Wilson and Lizzie Mae McClain Miller.  He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.  He attended Tennessee Temple University and received a doctorate degree from Covington Theological Seminary of Chattanooga.  He was a retired pastor and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

 He had ministered to others though mission  work in the following locations: Jamaica, Trinidad, Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Ukraine, Cuba, and various locations in the United States. Altogether ministering on over 50 mission trips with the last 27 being in the Ukraine.

 He pastored churches in North Carolina, Kentucky, and South Carolina. He also served as Director of Missions in Avery County, North Carolina. Presently he was serving as pastor of Riverside Baptist Church in Belton.

 Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are:  two sons, Ricky Miller (Joy) of Anderson and Randy Miller (Kristen) of Andrews, N.C.; two daughters, Sandy Mays of Columbus, Ohio and Vanna Clampitt (Wesley) of Ellijay, Ga.; five brothers, Billy Miller of Donalds, Roger Miller of Anderson, Doug Miller of Pelzer, Alfred Miller of Honea Path and Gene Owens of Anderson; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a brother, James Miller.

 Funeral Services will be held at 1PM Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alvin Crooks and Rev. Jerry Mize officiating.  Burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Anderson..

 The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday at Pruitt Funeral Home and prior to the service on Tuesday.  The family will be at the home.  Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
