Honea Path – Evelyn Ruth Johnson Callaham, 85, widow of George Washington “Ralph” Callaham, of 18 Florida Street, died Saturday November 5, 2011 at Hospice House of Laurens County.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Jim and Ida Lee Ridgeway Johnson. She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was formerly employed by Chiquola Manufacturing Co
Surviving are: one son, Tommy Frank Callaham of Sylvania, Ga.; five grandchildren, Emily Crystal Callaham Joy, Cindy Callaham Swetenburg, Connie Callaham Fulmer and Michael Patrick Callaham all of Clinton and a grandson raised in the home Tommy Ralph “Tink” Callaham of Columbia; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Don, Paul, Thomas, and Earl Johnson; and five sisters, Addie Mae Moore, Fannie Bannister, Mary Poore, Ernie Johnson and Helen Johnson.
Graveside services will be Monday November 7, 2011 at 2PM at Garden of Memories with Rev. Ronnie Powell and Rev. Brad Haynes officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the “Ralph Callaham Fund” Town of Honea Path Recreation Center c/o Commercial Bank, PO Box 127, Honea Path, SC 29654, Hospice of Laurens County, 1304 Springdale Drive, Clinton, SC 29325 or Chiquola Baptist Church, 405 East Greer Street, Honea Path, SC 29654. .
