She was born in Stone Mountain, Ga., a daughter of the late Luther Woodall and Martha Elizabeth Headrick. Mrs. Ashley was a member of Keowee Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for thirty nine years. She was a lifetime member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Lodge #272 of Hodges, having served as Worthy Matron and District Deputy Grand Matron. She was also a member of Woodmen of the World.
Surviving besides her husband of the home are two sons: Joseph Eugene Ashley and William Wesley Ashley both of Donalds. Also, two sisters, Martha Balentine, Ware Shoals and Mary McNeil, Abbeville and three grandchildren.
She was pre-deceased by a brother, Aubrey James Woodall.
Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, 4 pm at Keowee Baptist Church with Rev.Tony Lee officiating. Rev. Justin Phillips will officiate at the burial in the Church Cemetery . Eastern Star Rites will be conducted at the graveside.Active pallbearers will be Mikey Rucker, Ray Watson, Andy Wood, Matt McCullough, Scott Jones, Ken McAlister, Randy Hinton and Jackie Phillips.
