Ashley Boling

Donald Ashley Boling, 42, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, September 11, 2011. He had long suffered from complications of severe asthma and COPD. He was the son of Donald and Linda Boling of 93 Incline Dr., Ware Shoals. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two daughters, Scarlet Ashtin Boling and Katherine Ann Boling, and a brother, Richard Alan Boling, of 8326 Hwy 252, Honea Path.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was a member of the Fred O’Dell Sunday School Class and the Adult Choir. He was an active member of all church activities, and assisted with the RA’s. He enjoyed participating in the Ware Shoals Men’s Ministry and the fellowship of Christian friends. He showed concern for friend or foe alike. He enjoyed fishing, people, and sharing time with others.

 He was a member of the Ware Shoals Masonic Lodge #306, serving as Junior Deacon. He graduated Ware Shoals High School in 1986 and Piedmont Technical College as a PC Technician and was currently employed as an Assistant in the Computer Lab while he furthered his pursuit of an Associate Degree in Computer Technology. He was also a member of the Computer Club, an avid Astronomer, and NASA enthusiast.

 Pallbearers will be Jack Smith, Bill Smith, Ray Smith, Donnie Quarrels, John Boling, Dan Campbell, Lonnie Lothridge, and James Lothridge.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Ware Shoals Masonic Lodge # 306, Members of the Fred O’Dell Sunday School Class, Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church, Deacons of First Baptist Church, Edward Arnold, Harold Kay, Jason & Austin Whitted, Robbie Taylor, R.L. Walters, Eugene Buff, Sonny Dean, and Christopher Dean.

 Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Hans Wunch, Rev. Mark Lowe, Rev. Leon Jones, and Rev. Mac Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

 The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 – 8 P.M. at Parker-White Funeral Home. The family will be at the home.
