Honea Path - Mary Evelyn Gambrell Ferguson, 87, widow of W. C. "Bill" Ferguson, formerly of 409 S. Shirley Ave., died Monday, July 11, 2011 at The Maples.
Born in Honea Path, she was a dughter of the late Robert Edward and Janie Irene Davis Gambrell. She was a homemaker and a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church.
Surviving are a nephew, Robert E. Ricketts and wife Kathey of Seneca, a neice, Mary Jane Young and husband Larry of Honea Path, and several great-nephews and nieces. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert Enoch Gambrell, a sister, Dorothy Gambrell Ricketts, and a nephew, Julian Henry Ricketts, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 PM Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service. The family is at the home of her neice, Mrs. Larry (Mary Jane) Young, 8 McKay Rd.
