Barbara Joyce Calvert, 71, 524 Smith St. ext., Donalds, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Self Regional Hospital.
She was born January 14, 1939, a daughter of the late Joe Edgar and Thelma Rebecca Aughinbaugh of McMinnville, Tenn.

She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Zion Assembly Church of God and a former member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Surviving are three daughters, Dianne (Billy) Brown, Ware Shoals, Angie Calvert, Ware
Shoals, Gail Calvert Thorp, Donalds ; a son, Kenny (Shannon) Calvert, Donalds, a sister,
Mary (James) Hayes, Smithville, Tenn., a brother , Joe (Shirley) Aughinbaugh, Viola,
Tenn., thirteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, James “Boney” Calvert, sister Dorothy
Greene and husband, Gordon, son-in-law, Jackie O’Dell, two infant grandsons, Scot and
Dylan and sister-in-law, Alma Calvert who was also her best friend.

She was a wonderful mother, friend and an inspiration to so many who knew her. She
Lived for the Lord and witnessing His Word and how he blessed her throughout her life.
She put Him first and in doing so, she strongly believed that all else would fall into place.
As her family we’ve been blessed with so much, most importantly, that she not only talked the talk, but walked the walk. We have comfort in knowing that she is walking with Jesus.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 2 pm at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Lowe and Rev. Mac Jones officiating. She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Memorial Gardens beside her best friend, Alma Calvert.

Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Justin Calvert, Brandon O’Dell, Josh Eanes, DeWayne Calvert, Lee Reynolds, and special friend, Skeeter Crawford.
