Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Adger W. and Maude Ellis Davenport. She was a dedicated member of Chiquola Baptist Church, where she was active in many ministries. She worked in banking for over 40 years, and was retired from The Commercial Bank.

Surviving are two daughters, W. Lynne Walker of Honea Path, Cynthia W. Adkins and husband Dr. Clarence Adkins of Hickory Tavern; and two grandchildren, Chandler Joyce Adkins, and Carson Walker Adkins.

She was predeceased by her husband and two brothers, Earle C. Davenport, and Wm. Conrad Davenport.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday at Chiquola Baptist Church, with Rev. Ronnie Powell and Dr. Charles Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The body will be placed in the church at 10 AM Wednesday.
