Daniel Smith

Honea Path – Mr. William Daniel Smith, 77, of 314 Ervin Street, husband of JoAnn Wilson Smith, died Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Jonas and Grace Louise Daniel Smith Arflin. He was a member of the Honea Path First Baptist Church and a veteran of the US Army, WWII and Korea. He was a former Department Manager with Riegel Textile and Springs Industries.

Surviving in addition to his wife are: a son, Mark R. Smith and wife Alecia of Anderson and a granddaughter, Kinsley Smith of Anderson.

Services will be held 2 PM Saturday at Pruitt Funeral Home - Honea Path, with Rev. Mike Moody officiating. Burial to follow in the Garden of Memories. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 – 2PM prior to the service.
