Betty L Brown Hancock,77, of 5833 Hwy. 25N, widow of Leo H.”Skeet” Hancock, died at her home Monday, June 14, 2010. She was born in Walker County , Ga., a daughter of the late Robbie and Cappie Nation Brown She and her husband owned and operated “Skeets” Hy Rocket Station for many years.

Surviving are: a daughter, Lisa Cain, Hodges, two brothers, Cecil and Thomas Brown both of Layfette, Ga and a granddaughter, Brooke Cain of Greenwood.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, 2 pm at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Hotchkiss, Cleve Crawford, Dennis Inabinet, Joe Cantrell, Morris Ridge and Harry Metts.

The family wishes to thank the nurses of Hospice Care of South Carolina, especially Carol Timmons and the Home Health Care. A special thanks to JoAnn Morris who was her loving and faithful caregiver.
