Margaret Lankford Graham

Honea Path – Margaret Mitchell Lankford Graham, 89, widow of William “W.M.” Graham, formerly of Inman, peacefully entered into eternal life on Friday, June 11, 2010 at the Life Care Center of Charleston.

Born in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Howard Burke and Esther Lucille Shirley Mitchell of Honea Path She was first married to William “Bill” Lankford for 42 years. She was a member of Church of the Covenant United Methodist Church of Spartanburg.

Margaret, known as “Gaga” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she loved taking care of her family which included cleaning and cooking. She was a great cook and a loyal friend to many.

Surviving are a son, Mike Lankford and wife Lydia of Pinopolis, SC, a daughter, Sherry Cox and husband Boyce, a brother, Rev. H. Barry Mitchell and wife Laura of Laurens, three grandchildren, Katelyn and Will Lankford, and Rhett Power. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Charles M. “Chip” Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Britt officiating. Interment will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

The family would like to thank the faithfull caregivers at the Palms of Mt. Pleasant and Life Care of Charleston for their comfort and assistance over the last several years.
