James (Jim) Vermillion
Donalds – James (Jim) Lewis Vermillion, 72 of 1359 Drake Road, husband of Brenda Reeves Vermillion, died Friday at Hospice of the Piedmont in Greenwood.
Born in Abbeville county he was a son of the late Claude Forrest and Ruth Jester Vermillion. He was formerly employed with Riegel Chemicals and a member of Donalds Baptist Church. He had formerly served in the 114th Signal Company of the National Guard.
Surviving are his wife of the home, one son; Faron Vermillion and wife GiGi of Princeton, one daughter; Tonia Ashley and husband Donnie of Greenwood, one brother; Robert Vermillion and wife Julia, two sisters; Drucilla Burdette and Frances Ambrose, two grandchildren; Christian and Allison Vermillion and four step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Monday at Donalds Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Sturkie and Rev. Reuel Westbrook officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 P.M, Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 408 W Alexander Ave, Greenwood, SC 29649.
