John Green

Anderson – John L. Green, 65, husband of Marian Frances Gordon Green, of 500 Asaville Church Road, died Saturday at the Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Greenville County he was a son of the late Malvin and Lillian Campbell Green. He was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church and was retired from Eastern Business Forms of Mauldin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Vietnam.

Surviving are his wife of the home, a daughter, Kimberly Rich of Columbia, a step-son, Francis “Chip” Crosby of California, a brother, Don Green of Mauldin, a sister, Inez Goodman of Taylors, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path. The body will be placed in the church at 10 AM on Wednesday. The family is at the home. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com
