Waterloo – Bruce G. Neal, 77 husband of Bonnie Crawford Neal,  of Riverfork Road, died Monday, February 17, 2020 at Self Regional Hospital in Greenwood.

Honea Path – Hannah Lynn Brewington, 29, of Calhoun Street, passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Doctor’s Hospital in Augusta GA.

Honea Path – James “Jimmy” Farris Whitworth, 70, husband of Dorothy Patricia Walker Whitworth, of Lola Lane, died Friday, February 14, 2020 at his home.

Honea Path – Doris Faye Armstrong, 85, of Pete Armstrong Road, joined her Lord and Heavenly family on February 12, 2020 while at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. She is survived by her spouse of 47 years, Hubert L. Armstrong, of the home. Doris was born August 4, 1934 to Gilter Roy and Leta Mae (Michaels) Nelson in Lonoke County, Arkansas.  

Reba Adams Capps Cameron, 84, widow of Gordon Cameron, of Winona Church Road, formerly of Greenwood, died Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Hospice of the Piedmont in Greenwood.

Born in Hartwell, GA, she was a daughter of the late John Benson and Maude Lee Thompson Adams. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Honea Path, and was retired from Cooper Industries. She was twice married, first to the late Arlie Paul Capps, Sr. She loved camping, fishing, flowers, and travel.

Mrs. Cameron is survived by one son: Bill Capps (Jeannie) of Abbeville; one daughter: Terri Stone (Eddy) of Donalds; one sister: Willie Sowell of Greenwood; six grandchildren: Travis Capps (Emily), Kelly Driver (Jake), Donna Bader, Alan Tafta, Ben Stone (Ashstan), and Candace Capps; five great-grandchildren: Braydon Capps, Sethan Capps, Ashton Bader, Jaxon Bader, and Charlotte Gooch; special “wife-in-law” Dorothy Capps; and special friend Olin Turner.

She was preceded in death by two sons: Tony Capps and Paul Capps.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chuck Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Ware Shoals – Norma “Judy” Long Mahaffey, 93, widow of James L. Mahaffey, Jr., died Saturday, February 8^th, 2020, at her home in Gastonia, NC.Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late George Henry and Stella Touchstone Long. She was attended Gastonia First Baptist Church.

Lana Jo Ashley McCullough, age 55, of Honea Path, SC entered her heavenly home on Sunday, February 9^th, 2020 at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Hospital in Charleston, SC.

Waterloo – Elizabeth Cooper Cothran, 60, widow of Larry Jordan Cothran, of Riverfork Road, died Sunday, February 9, 2020 at her home.

Honea Path - Edward Donald Farmer, 74, husband of Linda Marie Kelly Farmer, of Honea Path, died Saturday, February 8th at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Born in Killbuck, OH, he was a son of the late Edward Farmer and Roberta Mace Cool. He attended Chiquola Baptist Church, and was retired from his work as a carpenter for Olympic National Park. Mr. Farmer loved to fish and play bluegrass music. He was active in prison ministry and nursing home ministries.

In addition to his wife of the home, he is survived by two sons: Eric Hodgson (Jane) of Port Angeles, WA and Jesse Farmer of Port Angeles, WA; one daughter: Kathleen Michaelis (Tommy) of Clarksville, TN; one brother: Roger Cool (Georgie) of Millersburg, OH; one sister: Shirley Mowrer (Keith) of Jeromesville, OH; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his step-father: Woodrow T. Cool.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 12, 2020 with Mr. Chuck Bolden and Rev. Ronnie Powell officiating.

Greenwood - Robert Henry Bruce, Jr. died peacefully in his sleep on February 4, 2020. “Delta Bob” was born March 1, 1956 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Robert Henry, Sr. and Musa Lou Oliver Bruce.  The family moved to Decatur, Alabama, then to Echternach, Luxembourg and Lancaster, England where he graduated high school.
