Ware Shoals – Melba Thompson Davis, 93, widow of Allen William Davis, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at NHC Greenwood.

Ware Shoals – Mrs. Helen Banister Bratcher, 88, wife of Charles Edward “Ed” Bratcher, of 109 South Greenwood Avenue, died at Hospice of Laurens County Monday, May 5, 2014.

Sally Genelle “Jeannie” Sutton Calvert, 64, widow of M.Sgt. William Joseph Calvert, Jr. died Tuesday at her home.  She was born in Marietta, Ga., a daughter of the late J.C. and Bessie Lanning Sutton.  She was a member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church and had been Director of Women’s Ministry.
