Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late William Bryant and Rubye Medlin Vinson. She was a member of Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church were she was active as a Sunday School teacher, VBS teacher, and the Mission Friends. She was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School and received a Bachelors Degree from Erskine College and a Masters Degree from Furman University. Kathy was a retired teacher having served at Marshall Primary, Belton, Westview Middle, Greenwood, and Ware Shoals Primary School.
Surviving are her husband of the home, a daughter, Dr. Kim Felts (Robert) of Chattanooga, TN, a brother Billy Vinson of Hodges, a sister, Ellen Rhodes (Jerry) of Saluda and two grandchildren, Royce and Robbie Felts.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Tonya O’Dell and a sister Linda Vinson.
