Born in Beschaka, Yugoslavia, he was a son of the late Josef, Sr. and Anna Elizabeth Shafer Reitenbach. He was a member of the Honea Path First Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was retired after 40 years from The Torrington Co.
Surviving are his wife of the home, two sons, Gary Reitenbach of Honea Path and Glenn Reitenbach (Jenina) of Anderson, two grandsons, Jon Reitenbach of Myrtle Beach and David Reitenbach of Townville, and three nephews, Danny Eric and Egon Reitenbach. He was pre-deceased by two brothers Andrew and Daniel Reitenbach.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Moody officiating. Burial will follow in M.J. Dolly Copper Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors.
