Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of the late Benjamin Calhoun and Ruth Mae Elledge Massey. He was a retired Correctional Officer.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: two brothers, Lee Roy (Rene) Massey and Wayne Massey, all of Greenwood, and five grandchildren, Regina and Noah Johnson, and Josie, Howard and Emily Case. He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Ann Johnson, two brothers and three sisters.
The family is at the home and will receive family and friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Parker-White Funeral Home in Ware Shoals.
