Jimmy Campbell

Honea Path – Jimmy Ray Campbell, 73, widower of the late Marilyn Elaine Turner Campbell of Honea Path died Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

 

Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late James Humphries and Annie Pearl Crocker Campbell. He was a member of Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. Mr. Campbell was retired from his work at Timken, and served in the South Carolina Army National Guard.

He is survived by his two daughters: Deborah Mattison and husband Derek of Honea Path and Angela McCall and husband Heath of Belton; two brothers: Dean Campbell and wife Kay of Belton and Stanley Campbell and wife Gerrie of Belton; one sister: Juanita Thompson and husband Gary of Belton; and three grandchildren: Joshua Mattison, Alivia McCall and Alex McCall. He is also survived by a special friend and caregiver Krystal Gilmer of Belton, special brother-in-law and sister-in-law Watson and Darlene Goldman of Anderson, and special niece Candace Kirby and husband Michael of Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 3 at Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Brent McMasters and Rev. Eddie Crocker officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 4 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday night from 6-8 PM at Pruitt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Jones Chapel Church of God of Prophecy music department, c/o Erline Pruitt, at 636 Brooks Rd., Honea Path, SC 29654.
