Born in Taylors, South Carolina, Randy was the son of the late Waymon Harold, Sr. and Evelyn Boyce Lollis.
For Randy, horses were never simply a career. They were a lifelong passion, a source of pride, and a defining part of who he was. As the owner of Randy Lollis Stables, he dedicated his life to the horses he loved and the industry he helped shape. His farm was more than a place of work; it was where he felt most at home.
A lifelong member of both the South Carolina and North Carolina Walking Horse Associations, Randy served on the boards of both organizations numerous times throughout his career. As a licensed Tennessee Walking Horse judge, he was honored to judge shows across North and South Carolina. Over the years, he trained, and rode numerous World Champion horses, earning the admiration and respect of fellow horsemen.
In 2006, Randy was inducted into the South Carolina Walking Horse Hall of Fame, a recognition of his dedication, accomplishments, and lasting contributions to the industry he loved.
While his accomplishments in the horse world were many, those who knew Randy understood that his character was just as important as his career. He was a man who took pride in his work, valued professionalism, and earned respect through years of dedication.
His knowledge, experience, and love for horses left an impression of countless people throughout his life.
Beyond the show ring and the stables, Randy was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and companion. His life was filled with the people, animals, and traditions that meant the most to him. He leaves behind not only an incredible legacy in the walking horse community but also a lifetime of memories for those fortunate enough to have known and loved him.
Randy is survivied by his long time companion, Tammy Farmer; his daughter, Loren Anniss and her husband, William; his sister, JoAnna Strom and her husband, Ed; his sister-in-law, Kathy Lollis; four grandchildren, Bailey Lavender and spouse Charley Lavender, Bryce Hawkins, Reed Anniss and Abby Anniss; his great-grandson, Caden Lavender; and his beloved cat, Poppy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Patricia Brissey Lollis; his brother, Waymon Harold “Bucky” Lollis, Jr.; his sister Patricia Lollis White and her husband, Jerry White.
A family memorial gathering to honor and celebrate Randy’s life will be held at Due West A.R.P. Church, 112 N. Main Street, Due West, SC 29639, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Randy’s legacy will live on through the horses he trained, the lives he touched, the family he loved, and the respect he earned throughout a lifetime spent doing what he loved.
