Born in Galax, VA she was a daughter of Linda Ross Alley and the late Jimmy Alley. She worked as an RN at Allergy Partners of Anderson.

Mrs. Rice is survived by her two sons: Rocky Russell and wife Melissa of Galax, VA and Steele Russell and wife Lauren of Donalds; two brothers: Billy Alley and wife Kim of Greenville and Joe Alley and wife Sherry of Greenville; her sister Terri Burcham and husband Dwight of Galax, VA; seven grandchildren: Trent Russell, Scott Russell, Brookelyn Russell, Emily Russell, Suade Russell, Tyler Burcham and Drew Burcham; and her great-grandson Weston Burcham.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Melina Russell.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 24 2026 at the Garden of Memories with Rev. Dewayne Evans officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
