Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late James Alfred "Boney" and Barbara Joyce Aughinbaugh Calvert. She was a member of Mt. Gallagher Baptist Church, and had worked as a telephone operator. She was twice married, first to the late Jackie O'Dell.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Brown is survived by her son Brandon O'Dell (Shaina) of Ware Shoals; her two daughters: Courtney Reynolds (Lee) of Greenwood and Jennifer Geyer (Steven) of Simpsonville; her three step-daughters: Billie Jean Brown of Ware Shoals, Jessica Ross (Jason) of Pendleton and Alison Brown of Ware Shoals; her brother Kenny Calvert of Donalds; her sister Gail Thorpe of Donalds; eight grandchildren: Toby O'Dell, Felix O'Dell, Digory Reynolds, Logan Ross (Hope) Morgan Ross, Jarrett Ross, Maddie Brown and Lillie Brown; and two great-grandchildren Romeo and Lyla.

She was preceded in death by her sister Angie Plumley.

She also leaves behind her special pet, Heidi.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 18 at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Wiles officiating. Burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park.
