Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Furman Oscar and Eva Ashley. She was retired from her work as a lab assistant at Torrington, and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bratcher is survived by her brother Winford Ashley of Honea Path; her grandchildren: Trevor Bell (Sydney) and Katelyn Heaton (Austin); her great-grandchildren: Melea, Jameson, Holder, Reneé and Raylan; and her son-in-law Teddy Bell.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Renee Bell; four brothers: Ronald Ashley, Jack Ashley, Delbert Ashley and Joe Billy Ashley; and seven sisters: Carolyn Mitchell, Cenie Tallent, Mary Frances Bagwell, Yukie Bratcher, Thelma McGaha, Virginia Lollis. and Ruby Drake.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 7 2026 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Crocker and Rev. Tim Edmonds officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1-2 PM Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home, prior to the service.
