Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of Laura Timms Kirby and the late Wilton Kirby. She was a member of Honea Path First Baptist Church and was a school teacher, having retired from Anderson County School District #1 and #2 Adult Education. Mrs. Branyon had previously worked a Pendleton High School. Her favorite role in life was being a grandmother.
Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of 55 years of the home and her mother of Honea Path are: two sons, Josh (Misty) Branyon and Benji Branyon, both of Honea Path; her daughter, Lori (Wes) Ashley of Honea Path, seven grandchildren, Bryson Branyon, Tucker Branyon, Sullin Branyon, Zella Branyon, Jaxson Ashley, Jaydon Ashley, Lilah Ashley and Ruthie Ashley; special grandson, Isaiah Ashley; two brothers, David Kirby of Honea Path and Larry (Amy) Kirby of Belton; a sister, Patti (Rick) Mosely of Anderson; and her two special caregivers, Pam Knight and Chrissy Saxon.
Memorial services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday June 27, 2026 at Honea Path First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Josh Phillips officiating.
