Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Calvin Wayne and Mary Lois Branyon Ashley. She was a member of Keowee Baptist Church and retired from Springs Industries. Mrs. Parks was a member of The Eastern Star, Chapter 159. She loved to travel and had been all over the world to include Europe and Italy.

Surviving are: her grandson, Bill (Jennifer) Parks of Honea Path; two great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Alexa Parks and Tyler Blaine Parks; three brothers, Larry Ashley, Joe Dean Ashley and Greer Ashley, all of Honea Path; and a sister, Ernestine Boland of Honea Path.

Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, William Leonard Parks, Jr.; a brother, Maxie Ashley; and two sisters; Waynelene Ashley and Donna Ferguson.

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Saturday May 16, 2026 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery.
