Born in Elkridge, WVa., she was a daughter of the late John Franklin and Axie Jarrell Atha. She was a member of The Church of God, and was retired from Richloom of Ware Shoals.

Surviving are a son Ted Franklin Casto of Ware Shoals, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by four sons, Robert Kay Casto, Michael Lee Casto, George Casto, and Rickey Casto, a daughter Carolyn Casto, a brother John Atha, and two sisters Bertha Harlless and Dollie Jones.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, May  11, 2026 at Ware Shoals Cemetery with Rev. Mark Lowe officiating.
