Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late Millard Crayton and Ellen Elizabeth Brock Alewine. He was a member of Broadmouth Baptist Church, and worked as a carpenter.

Mr. Alewine is survived by his beloved sweetheart of 17 years Wanda Dove; his brother Robert Alewine of Honea Path; two sisters: Ann Alewine of Honea Path and Rose Stewart (Bobby) of Honea Path and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Pruitt Funeral Home.
