Mildred Magaha

Waterloo~Bessie Mildred Weathers Magaha, 87, formerly of Riverfork Road, widow of Elmer Ernest Magaha, died Thursday, March 26, 2026 at NHC Healthcare, Laurens, SC.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Bessie Mae Wells Weathers. She was a member of Sharon Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was retired after 30 years of service from Greenwood Mills Sloan Plant. A loving wife and mother she enjoyed fishing and the mountains.

Surviving are two sons, Brian Magaha (Anne) of Waterloo and Gary Magaha of Hodges, and a daughter, Deborah Chadwick (Keith) of Hickory Tavern, a brother, Jessie Lee Weathers of Waterloo, and two sisters, Betty Jane Bartley of McCormick and Maydelle Kelly of Laurens, four grandchildren, Tracy Babb (Brian), Mark Magaha, Adam Magaha (Savannah), and Makala Magaha, and four great grandchildren, Shelton, Lanie, Rilie, and Khloe.

She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Earl Weathers and Ed Weathers, and a sister, Pauline Chastine.

Graveside services will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, March 29 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Hodges with Rev. Billy Pinson officiating.

The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM, Sunday at Parker-White Funeral Home, Ware Shoals.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Agape Hospice, 810 E. Main St., Ste #1, Laurens, SC 29360.
