Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late Albert Jerome and Eron Boland Prince. She was a member of the Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church, a graduate of Ware Shoals High School, and Piedmont Tech. She was a retired Medical Assistant from AnMed of Honea Path and had worked for Dr. Peoples and Dr McLane at the Ware Shoals Medical Clinic, for Dr. Jimmy Smith at Honea Path Family Practice, and Dr. Ed Mattison at Medicus of Anderson. She always loved music, playing the piano, and church hymns.

She was the last member of her immediate family, and in addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother, Michael J. Prince.
