Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Lettie Shirley Taylor. She was a member of Barkers Creek Baptist Church. She was the retired owner and operator of Taylor’s Store. She will be remembered as “The Rock” of her family.

Surviving are: her son, Richard Kelly of Honea Path; two brothers, Raymond (Peggy) Taylor, Jr. of Anderson and Dickie (Tessie) Taylor of Craytonville; two sisters, Joann Owens of Belton and Audrey Brock of Honea Path; and several nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Ophelia Hester.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all the caregivers at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Garden of Memories with Rev. Wesley Taylor officiating.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
