Born in Walhalla, she was a daughter of the late Charles Edward and Viola Crumpton Heaton. She was a graduate of Hillcrest High School of Simpsonville. She was retired from Goodwill Industries of Greenville.

Surviving are a daughter, Kandi Fredere (Frank), two grandchildren, Audrey Fredere and Braden Fredere, and her beloved Bella.

She was predeceased by her parents, a son, Ronnie Lee Calvert, and two brothers, Charles and Larry Heaton.
