Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Talmadge Dewitt and Margaret Pauline Hall Mahon. She was retired from her work as a weaver, and was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son Jerry Dewitt McMahan (Sheron) of Donalds; two sisters: Jane Taylor (Lowell) of Gray Court and Peggy M. Tyner of Honea Path; and her grandson Ethan J. McMahan.

Mrs. Burdette was preceded in death by her son Tracy Lane McMahan and her grandson Jason Dewitt McMahan.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, August 19, 2024 at Pruitt Funeral Home with  Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at Pruitt Funeral Home, prior to the service.
