Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late J. T. Jennings and Mary Frances Brown Sheppard. She attended Turkey Creek Baptist Church, and worked as a nurse at the Whitten Center in Clinton.

In addition to her husband of the home, Mrs. Moody is survived by her three sons: Justin Moody of Ware Shoals, Jarrod Moody (Janna) of Irmo and Jordan Moody (Lauren Pawlak) of Ware Shoals; her brother Brian Sheppard of Belton; her sister Stacey Carroll of Anderson; and four grandchildren: Justus, Jaxton, Everest, and McKinley.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by Fulton and Ellen Brown, who raised her.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Lowe officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service at Parker-White Funeral Home.
