Born in Laurens county, she was a daughter of the late Henry Lee Pitts and Velma Hopkins Pitts. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was a retired seamstress.

Surviving are one daughter; Diane H. Fleming of Ware Shoals, one grandson; Alexander Fleming of Ware Shoals, one brother; John Edward Pitts of Ware Shoals, two sisters; Janet P. Copeland of Florida and Winnie Faye Pitts of Ware Shoals. He was predeceased by five brothers; Carl, Arthur, Neil, Charles and Wilbur  Pitts and one sister; Betty P. Gibert.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Robert Emory and Rev. Bruce Ostrom. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday prior to the service at Parker-White Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be; Darvin Workman, Keith  Pitts, Michael Price, Mark Henderson, Dennis Henderson and Bobbie Joe Griffin. The family is at the home.
