Born in Asheboro NC, he was a son of the late Charles Mack and Myrtle Galloway King. He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Goodman Conveyor. Mr. King was the owner/operator of Horse Drawn Carriage.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 45 years of the home are: his son, Cory King of Columbia, his “adopted” daughter, Tonya (Michael) Garrett of Belton, and his nephew, Charles King, Jr. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Lee King, Sr., and his sister, Eva Gillespie.
Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Mountainview Memorial Park, Travelers Rest, SC with Rev. Thad Strickland officiating.
The family is at the home and will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
